We hung around the resort for most of the morning and then headed to the RV park to visit with my grandmother. After taking a stroll around and playing on the swingset, we headed to lunch. After lunch, we headed back for nap time. We eventually woke up from the nap and headed down to the pool. When my brother arrived home, we went to eat at carraba's and then headed back to watch some of the playoffs on tv. Today my dad left and headed home to VA and we took our time packing and decided to stop by downtown disney for lunch before we headed to the airport. I was meeting up with a buddy from h.s. who was/is coming out to colorado for a little bit on leave from the Navy and he heads to one of the sand boxes for a nine mos this fall. My trip to Orlando was fun, but it's only May and already hot! I've applied to a few jobs down there, so we'll see if I end up there in the future; but I surely prefer the dry heat over all that.

Chill, Part, Food, & Putt Putt

Today wasn't overly exciting, but more of a relaxing day. My mother had to depart us to get back to DC and go back to work. It was a casual morning as I watched Bolt on TV with my nephew & then we headed off to the airport. We hit up Mickey D's for lunch and came back for a nap. We eventually attempted playing shuffleboard & when my brother got in from his conference, we headed to play putt-putt golf in Kissimmee, where we met up with my grandma who tagged along with us to dinner to Bob Evans. After gettin in tonight & relaxing, I took a swim in the pool and hung out in the hot tub with me and the empty space around me. It was relaxing. Not sure of tomorrow's plan, but I have no doubt it'll be exciting. Nuggets game starts in a half hour. Not sure I like this east coast thing, haha. I've been gettin spoiled I guess in Denver.

Orlando Trip - Disney's Animal Kingdom

So I was thinking before this trip that this will be the last big park that I haven't been to, then driving on our way there I see the Wide World of Sports & say that I guess I have to come back. So I was kind of excited to go to this place because for me it opened in '98, so it was new then and I guess I wanted to go. I mean I can still live my childhood at 24, right? So my brother is here on a conference and so it was my parents & my nephew, which maybe it looked like the 3 yr old was mine to others, but oh well. We started off on a small kid ride and then continued to walk around a little. I took a spin on the Everest ride, which was nothing compared to my kings dominion experiences. After that quick ride, we headed to the Finding Nemo Musical in the theatre and it was a little wait, but worth it cuz we got great seats. The show was kinda lame for me, but I know who it was geared towards. I wanted to see people in big fish customes, but that wasn't the case. Afte!
r we hit
there, we went to pizzafari for lunch. Following our re-energize we went to go on an African Safari. That was cool, but I was on the totally wrong side of the car to get awesome shots, plus we were moving really fast. I did get some shots though. Being with a 3 yr old that loves trains, guess where we went next? Yep, on the train. It took us to the petting zoo part and then we headed back to find Mickey and get a photo op. I think all-in-all it was a good day and my nephew did really well! We rode the "truck train" (aka tram) back to the parking lot and headed home. We hit up the pool for a little bit and waited for my brother to get in before we headed to dinner. After the pool I had a missed call from my bank sayin someone ran up charges in Alabama & Georgia so we had some fraud thing and I told the people that if they end up in Florida, I will find them and have my way with them...maybe the Aligator will have their way too. So anyways, after dinner we went to s!
ee my 90
yr old grandmother who's still kicking. I came back here and had an assignment to get in for my online classes, only 2 weeks left on this current semester. I'm pretty tired from today, tomorrow is not yet planned, but should be fun as well. Stay tuned!

Orlando

Well, I'm on a flight to Orlando with my brother and nephew #1. It should be an interesting trip, but it's sometimes nice just to get out of town for a few days and have a change of scenery. I have a 90 yr old grandmother who lives in Kissimmee, so it'll be nice to see her as it's been a few years. Day 1 plan is to hit up the animal kingdom. Hope to post more later. Did you see the one post though of those two pictures that I took of this sunset? I could tell that by Sunday afternoon/evening that it was going to be amazing and sure enough! That was the best sunset of the whole week. When I get time, I am going to post my pictures to Picasa and link to them from here, but I'm on my flight to Little Rock right now and I don't have internet access....I can't wait for the day when we do. I know it's not that difficult, but gotta love the FCC....actually, we don't.
So, let's go bac to how the week in Hope, Idaho went. I truly understand why my parents like the place so much. We got in on Friday and after a minor disagreement with the Budget Car rental guy, we got our 07 Jeep Liberty and headed out of Spokane to our point of Destination. Spokane is a nice town. I actually asked my dad yesterday when he thought that it was built and it wasn't entirely sure, but a lot of the buildings are older and the positioning of it all, like downtown in a valley seems really nice. I could see a couple movies done there if they haven't already been. So after we stopped to get food and some stuff to get us through the night on Friday, we went and checked in. When you first drive into Hope, there's a sign that says "east hope pop. 230," but there is another sign that says "Hope pop. 79" and so that can kind of give you an idea as to how desolate the area is.
Each day we kind of just got up and went out when we were ready, which some days wasn't until noon. Saturday we went into town to Wal-Mart and bought food and other excess stuff that my parents needed. When my parents come out, they usually drive like an hour or hour and a half to church on Sunday mornings, but there happened to be an ad in the Bonner County Daily Bee for a church in Sandpoint, so we drove the 20 minutes it took over to there and found a small group of people. The main preacher wasn't there, but I did get to talk to people and find out that he goes on about two trips a year over to China and has even been band, but he still goes back and evangalizes and that seems really neat, had he been there I'm sure that him and I would've had a grand old chat. So Sunday was church and I don't remember us doing too much after that? Which is good...more time to relax and chill. Monday we headed to Canada. That was fun, however, it gave me more reason to hate Canadi!
ans, when
we pulled up to the boarder, we saw the guy standing there and so we drove up there and well that was a BIG mistake in this guy's book. He yells at my dad and tells him that he was suppose to stop at this stop light or sign or something and wait for him to call us forward, so then he proceeds to give my dad and I the third degree and asks us all these questions....I almost started laughing right there, because I'm like, "It's Canada? What do they have to be protective about?" like I said, more reason to hate them. Canada was beautiful though, just wait until I get my pictures up! I found one spot where I climbed down this one hill from the car pull of and the water was so blue and everything that the picture that I took turned out amazingly. Heading up there was a full days trip and we ended up getting back to our timeshare about 6pm, which isn't too bad.
Tuesday we went up skiing on....well, i'll attempt to spell this, but I am on a plane and don't have google to look it up, sad day. We went up to Schweitzer Mtn in Sandpoint, apparently it's one of the top 25 resorts this year? That's what my mom said at least, I don't kniw if that's in the US or in North America? So, the view and everything was amazing, but I will still take my Colorado skiing over that. It was a little icy compared to what I'm getting used to now. After skiing we met up with on of my dad's old co-workers who retired to the area. It was nice meeting him and his wife and we ate at this sports bar called Slates and the steak that I got certainly hit the spot after a day of skiing.
Wednesday was really our last day there and so I had never been to Montana before, so we headed the 15 miles to the state line and then headed up to this place that are suppose to have Giant Cedar trees, but I guess that it isn't opwn in the winter, because the road wasn't plowed and though I was all ready with my snow boots and everything to hike up the hill to see them, I was alone in my adventure, so we turned back and headed towards Hope. On our way out, I did have a couple of spots where I wanted to stop and hop down another hill to snap pictures and so I did just that and they came out well.
I just remembered something from Sunday after church. We headed to the end of the lake and the view there was cool too, I mean really there wasn't a bad view anywhere. The place that we went though was I guess some small Navy installation, which is in the middle of nowhere. Go figure, anyways, it was cool.
Thursday we packed up and headed out and though I was a little worried whether I'm make these two flights, I got back home and am back on my way now. I suspect we only have 30 minutes left of this flight. I'm renting my first car ever in Little Rock, so we shall see how this goes. It's pretty cloudy underneath us right now, but it's not like I'd be able to tell if that farm is a Kansas one or what? Well, I'm done, hopefully I'll remember to post some more.
Email: tim@timothybaugh.com - Phone: 303.889.9015 - Web: www.baughproductions.com

View from Deck

look at this picture from outside our balcony here yesterday.

So my travel blog has been a little lonely now for I don't know, well? Years I suppose. My first real blogging started when I went to Greece and I don't think that I did all that great of a job updating it then. So, I was thinking yesterday about posting details of my trip on this blog, since most of my trips that I can remember don't include much relaxing time and sight seeing, but moreso for specific purposes.

Right now, I am on a plane to Spokane, WA to then drive from there over to my parent's timeshare that they own in Hope, ID. Where the heck is hope idaho? Well remember Rambo? It takes place in Hope, but it was actually filmed in Canada. Anyways, none of us kids have ever been out to this place. My parents bought this it seems like well over 10 years ago and though in the past they have "space banked" the week and traded for another place, it's cool that I get to go up. When I was home over Christmas, my dad had said that if I wasn't booked to work around this time, that they'd fly my up, so here we are! Man, my job and job style is so laid back. I love having this free time. Eventually i'll be stuck and probably get out of the free lancing side, but I'm content where I'm at now. Baseball starts soon, actually, I think that the Rockies Spring Training starts either today or tomorrow in AZ. I should find out when I get back whether or not I'm making it to the next round of interviews or what? It's stressing me out a little, but to be completely honest, I don't know how they could possibly go with another candidate. If they just want someone who can come in and make their graphics and videos better, i'm sure they can find someone, but the same person wouldn't last more than one season and possibly not even that long. I think that they learned that last year. So, like I said, I'm trying not to think about it, at least not this week.

So this time my parents usually just use to chill back and relqx and so I plan on doing the same, even though, I've kind of been doing that already. We'll go skiing one day, watch movies the most, and just soak up the beautiful scenery around us. I'm really looking forward to taking some awesome pictures. I brought my tripod, so expect some sweet night shots off of this lake, with this big mountain in the background. Yeah, i'm excited. My second leg of my two week travel is heading down to Searcy and then driving down to Texas to spend a couple of days with my Grandma....I can't wait to see her. She's very dear to me!

Welp, by the time this posts, I will be in Washington and/or Idaho since I can't post this due to the lack of cell service at 32,000 feet. Check back for more. I'll probably but my pictures on my public gallery on Picasa.

Photo Albums of Places the I've Travelled:

CO-TX

Colorado

New York City

Overseas and Misc.

This is my travel blog where I will post all of my entries as I travel to different places throughout the world and throughout my life. The Christmas Holidays was fun and got to spend a lot of time with Angela. Larry and Amy came to spend time with us this year and that is when we got to hear the wonderful news that they are going to have a baby now. The holiday's really came and went way too fast. I've been back at Harding now for a little over a week. It's hard to come back here after spending last semester over in Greece. I do like having a lot of time to be able to study though. I am taking 18 hours again this semester so pray that I am able to handle it all and make decent grades in all the classes this time around. It's hard going back to being apart from Angela again, because we got to spend a lot of time together and have some great talks while we were home. I plan to see her for Valentines weekend and I really hope that nothing prevents me from doing so. I hope that everyone has a wonderful new year and that each person is able to grow this year, myself included.

I'm in Amsterdam.......

Hey everyone, I'm in Munich, Germany. We flew into Istanbul, which was a really nice city and didn't have any trouble until we got to the bazaar, where these guys with bags of colonge just swarm up to you and put it in your hand and expect you to give money to them. It was just annoying. They don't take the word "NO" We got to see the Mosque's which are just amazing. The actual sites that we went to in Turkey were really awesome, but the overall country, not so much. I'm curious to see if they ill make it into the EU in December.

My parents are flying over here late this afternoon, and should be in sometime tomorrow.

I got to see a picture of that girl from Harding that died and I do remember seeing her around campus. It's hard once you actually know who the person is. I haven't heard too much about how Brandon (her boyfriend) is doing, but I think he's doing better.

We go to Egypt on the 15th on November and will be gone for about nine days.

Have I got stories about Turkey. I think that my three favorite islands are Rhodes, Crete, and Santorini. There was just some really awesome things on each of them, though we didn't get to spend too much time, only a few hours. The food on the ship was really good.

Grandma Callie is still in the hospital, but is doing better. There is talk about her being moved to Longview this week, to start rehab.

Now the important news, Saturday, two students at Harding, who were dating, were four wheeling (on ATV's) and they hit a bad spot in the field and went flying into a ditch. The girl, Lena Hendrix, died instantly and her boyfriend is currently in the hospital, and will have to have some facial reconstruction done. Please add the Hendrix family to your list as they are going through a rough time right now. She was a Sophomore and in the club Kojo Kai.

This week is another stressful week with three test, one i've actually already taken. Friday we leave for our 8 day trip to Turkey, which we will then visit some of the 7 Churches of Asia. I will try and get the rest of the pictures posted before that trip.

Grandma Callie is still in ICU, so continue to pray for her. We have has classes since straight since last saturday. Last Sunday I was fortunate enough to go an visit with some people from the church in Athens. Joanne and Constantine Economides. One of the Stephanies and I went. It was alot of fun. It makes me happy because Joanne is filipino, just like my girlfriend Angela is. From their condo, we all walked to church together. Monday classes started and so did the stress for everyone here. We had our first big test in Humanities 270, which was almost set up like a final exam, just because there was a lot of information on it. After that test we headed to Sounio to watch the sunset and it was amazing. Thursday was an easier day, because we didn't have any tests. Today we had our first Bible Arch. test, which also wasn't that hard.
