2009 Broncos Most Surprising Team

This season's Denver Broncos team has been the most surprising to 98% of the sports world. Their undefeated season was stopped by the Baltimore Ravens this week, proving that though this team has shocked so many, they still have a ways to go before making the playoffs.

The now 6 and 1 Broncos had so much off season drama that the young Josh McDaniels even had to have second thoughts on the upcoming season. With the win over his former team and cheating boss, this launched his own belief in the Denver Broncos and Pat Bowlen's confidence in his "Business Decision."

The biggest surprise so far this season is the lack of touches for Brandon Marshall. The national spotlight has now been lifted off of the receiver, however, the 2006 4th round pick seems to be having his worst season since joining the organization. We question whether his lack of throws are more punishment for being so outspoken or if the relationship with Orton is non-existent. Marshall wasn't scrutinized in the first three to four weeks of the season, understanding that he had less practice than the others and as we enter week 9 while performing on the national stage against the super bowl champs, the question remains on when he will have his breakout game? When will the #1 receiver on a division leading team have his first over 100 yards receiving game? If this player really does want to be traded at the end of this season, it will be up to him from this point on to perform and gain more attention from around the league. We all understand that he had to pay off these girlfriends and is now struggling to get by, but in order to get more money from the Broncos, Marshall must perform and earn his dough as many of these undrafted Saints are down in New Orleans.

As for the other receiver who many thought would have an even more stellar season than his rookie year, seems to be in this sophomore slump. Eddie Royal, who is an all-around great guy, seems to be having a lot more coverage this season. His biggest game this season has been only on special teams, showing that there must have been a lot of tape watched to cover this 5'10 wideout. The fans and media always love those players who are using these social networking sites (Eddie uses his fan page on Facebook to communicate) as ways to show their appreciation and not to complain. Given, we don't know totally why Royal is not even at a Quarter of yardage at the midpoint in this season, but in order to stay happy in the minds of those fantasy football players, Royal must step up and get open and hope that Ed Hochuli is working a few more Broncos games in the '09-'10 season. We love you Eddie, but please! Step it up pimpin!!!

'09 NLDS Tickets

The Colorado Rockies sent notifications of 2009 NLDS Tickets to those who entered the raffle before. In 2007, the Rox had serious issues selling tickets solely online. In 2009, the Nuggets also had issues with Ticketmaster for playoff tickets; prohibiting people who didn't have the right zipcode on their saved profile to not buy tickets. Limiting the number of people who can buy tickets now should help with the system crashing and hopefully helps keep autobots from buying all the tickets and making fans go and buy tickets for twice as much. Needless to say, I was awarded the ability to buy tickets tomorrow starting at 9AM MT! The only way to get in and buy is to be awarded a password and wanna know my password? It's "HAHAIGETTIX" No, but I thought that I'd be a little mean!

I'm Back!

It has been years since I hosted a Sports page on my site, previously I would just update how my favorite team was doing, had logos of my teams posted and didn't touch it for another 3 months. With the way of blogging today and my active role in Sports Production, I am going to start my sports blogging here. I live in Denver, so it will still be about my favorite teams, but also about who I cover in this region!
